Dave rides London to Brighton on Fathers Day

ACT for SMA Butterfly Logo
My name is Dave Goddard.  My daughter Charlotte was born on 11th April 2007 and fell asleep on 17th April 2007, aged 3 months.  She had the most beautiful smile and never stopped.  She was born, unknown to us, with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1.

Myself and several of my Bromley Bus Depot Colleagues and also keen-ish cycling mates took part in the London to Brighton 2015 on Fathers' Day. Im sure mine and Beckas' children, Shona, Haydn, Liam and Millie, along with Charlotte of course, will be very proud of us.Charlotte fell ill and spent the rest of her short time with us at St Thomas Hospital, London, in the Evelina Childrens' Hospital.  Me and her mum, Becka, also spent a lot of time at the Ronald Mcdonald House in London "McDonalds," so we could be close to our little angel. So next time you order your food don't forget to put your loose change in the pots in front of you - a very worthwhile cause indeed!

Dave and his friends raised a fantastic £641
